God's Will Vs Your Will: The Fight Between The Spirit And Flesh
The Battle Between The Flesh And The Spirit
Often times in life, the main message promoted to people is to live their best life and do as they please. However, for a person who has now giving their life to Jesus Christ how does this fit in? After giving your life to Jesus Christ, your life is no longer your own as you are now a child of the kingdom of heaven and you are no longer bound to darkness.
Now you have to understand that your life and will is now in God’s hands as it’s not about what you want any more but about what God wants. God’s will may not always be easy to follow as what God has ordained for you might not be what you were expecting.
For instance, a woman may have wanted her God ordained husband to be 6 feet tall, six pack, making 400k a year as a CEO but God might send you a husband who is 5 ft 9, just finished school and still working at the local grocery store right now. This is not what you expected but God knows what’s best for you and what he has ordained for you will always be for you and fit you just right.
I know that God’s will even for myself can be rough as we are human beings in a sinful flesh that wants to do as we desire (Galatians 5:17). However, we must walk in the spirit and be subjected to God’s will (Proverbs 3:5-6, James 4:15). Following God’s plans and obeying his will is the best choice to make as when God is guiding you, you will always be victorious.
What God put together no man can separate as God ordained it himself(Matthew 19:6). People who follow their own path often end up losing and going in circles as they are doing it based off their own desires. If you don’t follow God’s will, you will be going in circles confused about your own life.
A person could be a millionaire and yet be on their fifth marriage or a person could be a CEO and yet they keep moving to a new city every year as they are no longer happy in their current location.
This is what happens when you follow our own plans instead of God’s plans. God’s path gives you piece, assurance and you will be successful as God knows what’s best for you and will never lead you astray.
