Many churches have made it seem like walking with God comes with no challenges and everything you experience will be good. Ladies and gentlemen, this false deception that many people have ingrained is far from the truth when it pertains to this walk with God being easy. Yes, this walk with God is amazing because when God is directing your steps, you can’t fail but it doesn’t mean there won’t be struggles.

Challenges In This Walk with God
In this walk with God, you will face different challenges as following Jesus Christ requires discipleship which comes with a price. The different challenges in walking with God includes
· Sleepless Nights
· Losing Friends and Family
· Spiritual Warfare
· Being Persecuted for Following Jesus Christ
· Your Blessings from God might not come right away
These numerous challenges are often common amongst many Christians especially when you grow further in Jesus Christ. Often, the higher you grow in God, the more intense warfare and challenges you will face.
Sleepless Nights
In this walk with God, you may face many sleepless nights. For instance, if God has called you to be a prophet, God may wake you up during the night like at 12am to intercede for his people. You may face intense spiritual warfare to the point that you struggle to sleep at night. Satan and the kingdom of darkness may come to attack you while you’re sleeping such as you having bad nightmares which can keep many Christians up at night. Sleepless nights is a reality in this walk with God that you can’t be shocked about.
Losing Family and Friends in This Walk with God
You will lose family and friends when you start following Jesus Christ (Luke 21:16-17). When you stand for Jesus Christ in this walk with God, you will trigger many people include your loved ones. For instance, you no longer want to go the club and now you want to go to bible study which can cause chaos, anger and confusion amongst your loved ones. You may now be labeled as weird and that you think that you are too good for them now. We live in a world where many people view right as wrong and wrong as right (Isaiah 5:20). You will lose many friends and family walking with The Most High God.

Spiritual Warfare
You will face intense spiritual warfare from the kingdom of Darkness as satan is now mad that you are saved. Since you are now a threat to Satan’s kingdom, the enemy will try his best to destroy you as followers of God can hurt Satan’s agenda. For instance, if God has chosen you to be an evangelist and you help over 5,000 people get saved. Those 5,000 souls are now removed from the enemy’s hands and saved from eternal torment in the Lake of Fire. Do you think satan will be pleased? Of course not. Satan isn’t threatened by worldly people who reject Jesus Christ as they are in his hands, but he is threatened by followers of God which is why satan targets God’s people the most.
Being Persecuted in This Walk with God
In this walk with God, you will be persecuted by many people not just your family and friends as stated before. You may be persecuted by coworkers, neighbors, your boss etc. Examples of persecution can include
· People taking sides against you
· Lying on you
· Excluding you on purpose
· Trying to get a negative reaction from you
These are just a few examples of facing persecution from various types of people. You may even have the whole workforce and neighborhood against you forcing you to stand alone with few people. For many people this can be hard to deal with but in this walk with God, this is will happen to many followers of Jesus Christ. This is why it is essential to be a God pleaser and not a man pleaser.
Your Blessings Might Not Come Immediately in This Walk with God
Your blessings from God might not come right away the moment you start following Jesus Christ. This is a hard pill for many people to swallow but it’s important to know. Many people believe that they will get blessed immediately with their heart’s desires, but this is frankly not always true. You may spend years awaiting your God ordained blessings to manifest. For example, if you’re waiting on God for a spouse that spouse might not come until 5 years later or even longer. This can be discouraging to some people especially if you see worldly people “supposedly” look like they are winning. However, you must know that real blessings take time and there is a reason why God is making you wait. You might have to establish a strong relationship with God first and then your massive blessing will take place.
True Benefits in This Walk with God
Despite all the challenges named before, walking with God is still amazing. Yes, you will face your trials and tribulations, but you will end up prospering in the end. Once the waiting, warfare and persecution passes over, you will know that you have your biggest blessing which is The Most High God. When God is on your side you don’t have to worry because God will bless you just in his time. For example, if God says to wait 5 years for your spouse, when your finally meet them, you will have the best spouse who God picked. What God provides brings true joy, unlike following your own path which may lead to harm. The greatest gift is making it to heaven and avoiding eternal punishment in Lake of Fire.
Don’t Give Up in This Walk with God
Many people often give up walking with God as some people can’t handle the tribulations and tests. Some people run back to the world thinking that is better for their life, but they are deceiving themselves. The world is offering you nothing but falsehood, counterfeit blessings and satan looking to destroy you. Giving up on God means that you are now hell bound and you walked from under God’s protection making yourself accessible for satan to destroy you. God knows what is best for you and following your path will lead to your demise as what you think is good for you may very well destroy your life. The Jesus path may seem rough at first, but you will eventually win in the end.
Final Thoughts in This Walk with God
In this walk with God, you will face your hardships as trust me I already have but don’t be discouraged. There is a God who watches over those who put there trust in him. In these final hours before Jesus Christ returns, the enemy is rampant in attacking God’s people. However, you can be happy and celebrate because Satan’s time is almost over. God will always make the way for his people, but you can’t give up like many people as that is where some people fail. The road will be rough at times but just know that you press on following Jesus Christ as eventually you will reach your promised land God bless.
